Hope you're ready for the 2016 season.
As advised at the AGM the ACU are implementing a licence system for marshals and we
at Mid Sussex are piloting this for the ACU. If there's a chance you will marshal at
any time through the year you should attend, even if you only marshal once or on the
odd occasion, you should have the licence.
An ACU Official will be doing the training on the 12th March at the Peacock Lodge,
Eastbourne Road, Lingfield RH7 6HL between 10am and 12. (Same place we have the
AGM.) The training session is free, but I do need names of all attendees prior to
the event. So please let me know if you are able to attend.
Either on Facebook (via Tony), by calling 07951 359754 or by email on
Looking forward to seeing you all.
ACU Licence Holders who wish to purchase a helmet specific for or intended use at an ACU event need to be mindful that the Helmet when purchased needs to have an ACU Gold sticker already placed on the helmet. Recent practice with one Outlet has been to sell Helmets to individuals and then inform the individual to send the Helmet to the ACU for testing and for an ACU sticker to be put on the Helmet. We are all aware that this is an incorrect practice and that the Helmet stickers should be put on Helmets by the ACU Licenced Importers Companies.
Can you all please make sure that your helmet has the ACU Gold sticker on it. As the Technical officer's don't want to fail riders when Scrutineering for not having the correct Sticker on there crash helmet. And therefore not being able to race..
See you all on the 27th March
To all our New Members.
As we run the Mylaps Transponder System all our riders are required to have a transponder to race. If you need to purchase one you can order from hssports.co.uk
The one year flex x2 is £72 plus their postage.
Please ensure you have ordered in plenty of time for the beginning of the season as we can not accept riders without one and we only have a limited amount to hire to visitors or to members in emergency (ie left at home or didn't charge correctly).
Please be mindful that the one year will start from the date you register the device.
