FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS - EVERYONE WELCOME

Our beloved Brad will be laid to rest on Tuesday 27th May at 2pm. St Johns Church of England Church, Lower Hale Road, Farnham GU9 9RP.

The wake, afterwards will be at the Farnham Rugby Club. Again Everyone is Welcome.

Tony and Michelle would like to 'thank everyone for all their support and kind words & flowers' They would like to make this a 'Celebration of Brads Short Life' and would like those who wish to attend to wear bright clothes and if they wish to they can bring a red helium balloon with a personal message to Brad. Flowers or Donations to the Air Ambulance are all welcome (the family are currently waiting to hear which Air Ambulance)

A donation box will be available on Sunday for the Hooper Family.

Please Note that Parking is limited at the Church BUT - Brads School, Farnham Heath End School will be providing extra carparking (about 5-10 min walk away) the address is Hale Reeds GU9 9BN.


Mid Sussex 2014 Championship Round 4 Shermanbury

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS SUNDAY (18th May)

ORDER OF THE DAY
Scrutineering & Signing on to start much earlier. 7.30 and will close at 9.15 sharp. Please ensure you sign on early as we will close the desk on time. No one after this time will be allowed to join the queue.

Signing on Sat evening 7.30-8.30.

09.30 sharp. A riders/parent brief followed by a few words from Tony Hooper

10 am All youth Open riders to the line. Where upon engines will be cut. Other group riders who wish to join in paying their respects to Brad, may do so by standing side by side lining the track, starting by the lapscorers. You will be advised of where to start the line.
A 2 minute silence will then commence ( for Mick Williams and Bradley Hooper).
Then immediately after the youth Open group will set off for their lap of honour. Led by Matt Dowse and Spencer Woodman who will ride side by side as suggested by Tony. The rest of the group will follow in single file at the same slow pace.

As soon as the lap is over we will have a 10 min break to get ourselves together and normal race day will commence with practice as per race order ( decided on the day)

We know this will be a very emotional day for all. Love and support is the order of the day please.

On the day scrutineering and the signing on desk will open at 07.45 and will close at 09.30 sharp in order for practice to commence at 10am. As usual bikes need to be scrutineered before visiting the signing on desk.

Ewout de Pauw has contacted the club with a request for help with his thesis, read more below.

First of all I would like to thank you for your time! I am writing you regarding the phone conversation we had earlier this afternoon about my thesis about the motocross goggle market.

My name is Ewout de Pauw and I live in the Netherlands. I am currently writing my graduation thesis (in collaboration with the company Pinlock), to hopefully successfully graduate from my study international business and languages.

As discussed on the phone, I would like to carry out an online survey with the members of the Mid Sussex MX Club (of course fully voluntarily). As sign of my appreciation, people who fill in the survey are in the running for winning a GOPRO or one of the three motorcycle gloves!

I am hoping to get the coding done soon for this but there are a few things to work out before it is ready to go live.

South Eastern Youth Championship Form

2014 ACU South Eastern Youth Championship Registration
Registration for the first ACU South Eastern Youth Championship is now open! Please print the registration form that can be found on the homepage of the club website, complete all fields and return it by post to the address on the bottom of the form. You can ONLY register by post and forms WILL NOT be accepted by email, Facebook, at the signing on desk or any other way, this is to make it fair for everyone. There are 40 spaces in each group with 10 reserve spaces per group and all are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Registration is free but you must be a current member of either GEST MX or Mid Sussex MCC, and hold a valid 2014 ACU licence for the class in which you wish to compete to be eligible. The championship is for youth riders only from auto to youth open, there will be adult support classes at each event but you do not need to register for these. Adult groups will be structured by the hosting club and the format will vary. Booking in will be done by telephone with the hosting club on their usual booking in number and will open on the Monday evening two weeks before the event. Only registered riders can book in as priority with club members during the first week of booking in, visitors can book in from the Monday evening of the week prior to the event (space permitting). Adults will book in to normal club rules for each event i.e.:- members of the hosting club will get priority and visitors from the later time. Only registered riders will score championship points, visitors will be included in the table scores be excluded from championship results. Registration closes on Friday 2nd May 2014 and all entries must be received by that date. The championship will be held over 4 rounds, 2 rounds per club.

This new championship is open for anyone to enter but all riders must pre-register for the whole four round series and must have a 2014 ACU licence for a youth class (adult if entering support class). Registration is FREE and forms will shortly be available to download on both the GEST and Mid Sussex websites.

The dates and venues are:-

Round 1:-             18th May               -        Shermanbury, West Sussex

Round 2:-             28th June              -        Foxhills, Wiltshire

Round 3:-             29th June              -        Foxhills, Wiltshire

Round 4:-             31st August           -        Canada Heights, Kent

 

Dates and venues are confirmed but may change, always check the hosting clubs website before travelling.
